I’ve been thinking a lot about my hopes and dreams for 2018 and thought I would share them with you. It will also make me accountable to hopefully achieve them! As mentioned in my previous post, I have been on this journey for just over a year now and have loved where publishing A Dog Lover’s Dream has taken me. This year, I would love to try and fulfill some of the following goals. I will of course keep you updated with any success or otherwise that I may have!

Plush Alfie

Producing a plush of Alfie – I have been getting lots of requests for this from people who have already bought my book. My very good friend Wendy from Be Inspired Consulting has been advising me and put me touch with some great people. I am currently in the process of having some drawings created so that a sample plush can be produced…

The Supervet

Accompanying Professor Noel Fitzpatrick on tour – this most famous and inspirational vet and super human being is one of the reasons I wrote my latest doggie poem A Love Note. I have written to Noel and am hoping he may just read my letter – I am sure he is inundated but I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Dogfest

Sharing my poetry at Dogfest – it’s early days with this, but I am looking into attending this fantastic festival of all things doggie with the aim of reading some of my poems to the audiences.

Crufts

Meeting Clare Balding and Noel Fitzpatrick at Crufts – I will be armed this Friday with a handful of my books as well as the Clogau Dog Lover’s Dream Charm and Matching Dog Tag, which is a gift I hope to hand deliver to Clare.

Local Stockists

Increasing my local stockists – I am very grateful to all the local book shops and coffee shops for allowing me to stock my books in their shops. I have a few more places that I would like to see my book featured. Today I am thrilled that Providero Llandudno, a lovely dog-friendly coffee shop, have agreed to sell my books.

Animating A Dog Lover’s Dream

Animating my first book – well this is definitely a dream I have held for the past 12 months. I am quietly hopeful that one of my motorcycle customers is able to put me in touch with one of his friends who has an animation studio in London. It’s never what you know but who you know as they say.

Working with a PR company

Finding a decent PR agency – I’m now looking to increase the exposure of A Dog Lover’s Dream so am just exploring the various options of working with a PR consultant on a tight budget. I am already in contact with a couple of people and of course they need to be dog lovers!

Keep in touch

I always enjoy hearing from you and if you want to share your hopes and dreams for this year or have contacts/views/or opinions on mine, please do let me know.
